higher quality digital printing services
large format printing and photography
We use high quality stock to maintain consistent, high quality output. Using coated paper for printing brochures and postcards helps preserve bright, accurate colours. Our selection includes Futura coated text and cover up to 120 lb, Hammermill uncoated text and cover, Cougar uncoated text and cover, as well as a broad selection of other high quality papers.
For standard colour printing we currently use Domtar First Choice Colorprint, 28 lb.
Our digital images may be used in calendars, postcards, greeting cards, brochures, framed pictures etc.
We also have the ability to scan your artwork and print it on photographic or fine art media, such as textured watercolour paper and canvas.
From the initial test prints and throughout the printing process we ensure the quality meets our high standards. Our equipment is regularly maintained and calibrated. Completed jobs are checked again for quality and accuracy.
In a very rare occasion that our customer receives a job which does not meet her or his expectations, it is our top priority to rectify any problem as efficiently as possible.
We minimize cost of printing multi-page documents by separating colour and b/w pages and applying charges for colour and b/w printing separately. A minimum sequence of four colour or four b/w pages within the document is required. While printing documents such as reports, manuals, presentations, books, newsletters, etc. with sections of colour and b/w pages, this pricing policy results in substantial savings.
Any minor editing such as, for example, changing person's information on a business card, is included in our regular printing charges.
There are several factors which impact the final printing results. Digital file may be printed directly from an application in which it was created (such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign etc.), from an equivalent PDF, or from a page layout program such as QuarkXpress, InDesign etc. in which a pdf, eps or an image version of the original document is placed as graphic.
We choose the printing method which yields best results. We also select rendering intent as well as optimized output profile to achieve most accurate colour.
Binding options include cerlox, spiral, Wire-O, perfect binding and saddle stitching. We also offer lamination services.
Short runs of maps, posters, photographic images, fine art reproductions and signs in sizes larger than 12" x 18" are are typically produced on large format inkjet printers. Tests of HP pigment inks on high quality media indicate a minimum of 100 to 200+ years of colour permanency when not exposed to direct sunlight for an extended period of time.
We are able to achieve highly accurate colour and extended dynamic range using our eight colour, 42" wide inkjet printer.
